Thursday – the second day of Polish protests – was dedicated mostly to experts’ debates . The topics were industry policies and healthcare. On the screen set up in the protest camp next to the parliament deliberations of experts were viewed by hundreds of people – demonstrators and inhabitants of Warsaw.

At around 1:30 PM the parliament was approached by the protest march of teachers who beforehand had held a piquet in front of the Ministry of Education. Head of the resort following her colleagues from other departments did not meet the representation of the protesters in order to get received their petition. The issue of piquet was primarily related to the dramatic financial situation of education in Poland, liquidation of public schools and to the attempts of the government to reduce teachers’ benefits. After the piquet protesters headed the parliament. It was the only demonstration that day in Warsaw, but not the only one in Poland.

At around 1:00 PM in Wroclaw started the solidarity action with the Days of Protest launched by the Anarchist Federation. In front of the offices of ruling party dozens of people manifested against the anti-employee attitude of the government and was calling for general strike.

Friday will be organized around the civil issues. Starting at noon in the protest camp in front of the parliament will be delivered debates on topics related to democracy including referendums’ legal regulations. Starting from 4:30 PM the voice will be passed to civil organizations and social movements in the Hyde Park manner.

That day in the camp a new tent will appear. Workers’ Initiative trade union with its syndicalist origin will provide meetings on the problems of disabled people, the changes in the labour law and the image of the trade unions in the mainstream media. Workers’ Initiative since couple of weeks is calling for general strike. In many Polish cities appeared posters and announcements to encourage support for the action. On September 9. decision to join the strike (if it is supported by all trade unions’ centrals) was announced by representatives of the workers’ commission of the Cegielski factory in Poznan . Last Wednesday the workers together with the trade union activists were convincing to the general strike inhabitants of Poznan introducing the wide range informative action. On Saturday , during the final Days of Protest in Poland piquet, will be announced decision on the forthcoming trade unions’ actions.

Contrary to earlier plans, on Saturday in Warsaw will be at least four – not three – manifestations. Anarchists circles, who from the beginning got actively engaged in the initiative of the Days of Protest have announced organizing extra anti-capitalist bloc aside from the three marches of the major trade unions.
